About Sir Real and the Hallucinations

our story

Nigel Webb has hailed from La Honda since 1974. He is a prolific songwriter with his main group these past few decades being This Way Up. Nigel saw Nick Peters play with Dan Newitt (Pathetic Honey, Uncle Dan and the Foxtails, etc) in San Gregorio in June, 2023 and they started a conversation that ended in sit-ins and eventually an acoustic trio to let Nigel explore his vast repertoire that wasn’t appropriate for a full electric band. Ryan Triolo is currently the bassist of choice on the Peninsula (for many groups, including Uncle Dan and sometimes the Pilgrims of Stoke.) His super solid low end holds down this trio whose sound likens to Donovan, John Martyn, Pentangle, Fairport Convention, and other great, folky/acoustic groups. Their first album, “Pages of Time” is due to be released in May, 2026.
